RE: With Less Than 100 Days Until the Primary, Keisha Lance Bottoms is Building the Campaign to Win
Inside 100 days until the Primary Election, Keisha Lance Bottoms is building the campaign to win in both May and November. Keisha continues to focus on the issues top-of-mind for voters — from lowering costs to protecting Georgians against abuses of power by Donald Trump and his administration. She’s reaching voters across the state and packing rooms from Augusta and Columbus to Savannah and Montezuma, and building a people-powered campaign with back-to-back fundraising periods where Keisha brought in more than $1 million from more than 23,000 grassroots donations. Our robust campaign and growing enthusiasm is why Keisha consistently leads in the polls and stands out from the field as the strongest candidate in the race.
A Focus on Lowering Costs & Standing Up to Trump
From the start of the campaign, Keisha has outlined how she will approach the challenges Georgians face. She will take action to lower costs by expanding Medicaid in Georgia to expand coverage, make health care more affordable, and ensure rural hospitals and health care providers remain open.
Keisha will take on corporate investors driving up home prices and boxing out homebuyers and renters. And she will fully fund K-12 schools, expand job training with free technical and community college, and eliminate state income taxes for teachers so we can recruit and retain the best educators for Georgia.
Keisha has also continued to be a leading voice against Donald Trump’s abuses of power — from devastating cuts to the CDC to raiding the Fulton County election office and calling to nationalize elections.
Following the FBI raid at the Fulton County Election Hub, Keisha Lance Bottoms called out Donald Trump’s attacks on free and fair elections in Georgia.
Bottoms’ has repeatedly called out the Trump Administration using taxpayer dollars to manufacture election conspiracy theories.

Traveling the state, Keisha stands out for her work as Atlanta Mayor where she secured major investments for affordable housing, delivered historic pay raises for Atlanta’s police officers and firefighters, landed nine Fortune 500 companies in Atlanta, and supported small businesses while adding $11 billion to the city’s total economic output and finished her term with a $180 million city budget surplus without raising taxes.
Reaching Voters Across the State & Building Enthusiasm
Since launching her campaign, Keisha has traveled across the state to talk to Georgians, and voters are excited that she is talking about the issues that matter most to them.
Warner Robins: “Jacqueline Knight, a Houston County resident, expressed her excitement with Keisha’s' plans if elected. "She was magnificent. She addressed a lot of the issues that are current and relevant to us," Knight said.”
Albany: “I believe [Bottoms] could help us access funding like grants and programs and things so that we can put them in place for the future of the young people,” said Shirley Cody, a fourth-generation farmer with Griffin Farms.
Albany: Cody said she was feeling hopeful after hearing from Keisha. “We need something new and something fresh,” Cody said.
Columbus: “I was really glad that she was able to answer those questions.” Curtrina Strozier MD, Columbus resident and Board-certified OB-GYN said, “to speak to the Medicaid issues and women having issues with access to health care.”
Georgians from across the state are rallying to hear from Keisha about her plans as governor.
Keisha joined a crowd of 200 in Columbus during her ‘Standing Up for Georgia Tour.’
Last fall, Keisha joined rooms packed with Georgians in Richmond County to talk about the issues that matter to them.
During the summer, Keisha’s ‘Standing Up for Georgia Tour’ stop in Savannah drew a “lively crowd” ready to hear about her vision for the future.
