Bottoms Campaign Announces Surge in Fundraising, With $23M Raised In Filing Period

Bottoms Campaign Organizations More Than Triple Fundraising Haul With $23M Raised Since August 1

ATLANTA —  Today, Democratic nominee for governor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that her campaign and leadership committee will report more than $23 million raised in the fundraising period from August 1 through October 20. The groups’ fundraising over the past 80 days more than triples the total amount raised by the campaign to date, bringing that number to $31 million.

On reports due next week, Keisha for Governor will report more than $6 million raised and Project Battleground Georgia will report more than $17 million raised.

The fundraising haul is powered by more than 230,000 grassroots donations, including from all 56 state Senate districts, and all 180 state House districts. Some 96% of donors to the campaign are small donors who gave under $100.

“Keisha has the momentum in this race, powered by energy on the ground and grassroots donations,” said TaNisha Cameron, communications director for Keisha for Governor. “This major fundraising has enabled our campaign to get out the message about Keisha’s plans to lower costs, build a better future for Georgia families, and stand up to Donald Trump’s chaos when it hurts Georgians. We’re continuing to put our foot on the gas in the closing days, and Keisha will travel the state to get out the vote in this crucial election for Georgia’s future.”
