Bottoms Focused on the Issues Voters Say Matter Most: Economy and Inflation
ATLANTA — Less than one week ahead of voters beginning to cast their ballots in the Democratic gubernatorial primary on April 27, a new poll shows Keisha Lance Bottoms leading the Republican candidates in head-to-head matchups.
The poll also shows that Bottoms is focused on the issues Georgians care about most — lower costs and affordable health care. 53% of the Georgia voters asked said the economy and inflation should be the top priority for policymakers. 34% of Georgia voters said health care should be the top priority.
Bottoms has been focused on lowering costs for Georgians since launching her campaign. She also recently announced her CARE Plan for a Healthier Georgia which will lower health care costs for Georgians and make Georgia’s health care system work better for patients and providers.
Earlier this month, Bottoms announced a plan to guarantee pre-K access and a proposal to make kindergarten the starting point for school, expanding access to early learning for 4- and 5-year-olds while helping families manage childcare costs.
“Our campaign is taking nothing for granted, and we are fully focused on winning the Democratic nomination,” said Rashad Taylor, campaign manager for Keisha for Governor. “We are running with the urgency and discipline of a campaign that is 20-points behind. What is encouraging is the momentum we are seeing on the ground, all across Georgia, from voters who want lower costs, more opportunity, and a governor who will stand up to the Trump Administration’s chaos and failed policies that have driven costs higher for Georgia families.”
