Bottoms: ‘Donald Trump Spent His Time in Georgia Today Continuing to Show Us He is Obsessed with Spewing Lies about an Election He Lost Six Years Ago’

ATLANTA — Democratic candidate for Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms released the following statement after Donald Trump continued to push the election lies that led to the FBI raid at the Fulton County election hub during his visit to Rome today. 

“Donald Trump spent his time in Georgia today continuing to show us he is obsessed with spewing lies about an election he lost six years ago, instead of addressing the rising costs that Georgians are facing. The president’s remarks in Rome were wildly out of touch with Georgians’ priorities. As I travel across this state, I hear from Georgians worried about rising prices at the grocery store and skyrocketing health care premiums because of his cuts. All Donald Trump offered today were more of the same failed economic policies and 2020 election lies.

“Donald Trump made it clear today he wants a lackey in the governor' s office in Georgia. While the Republicans run for governor to work for Donald Trump, I’m running for governor to work for Georgians.”
