Bottoms Campaign Statement on Trump-Jackson Rally

Trump: “I Will Be The First Call They Make When They Get To Be Governor and Senator”

ATLANTA — Today, Rick Jackson joined Donald Trump on stage in Perry — campaigning with him for the third time in two weeks. During the event, Trump told the crowd that he will be Jackson’s “first call” if Jackson is elected governor.

Jackson – wearing the same black suit and red tie outfit as Trump – stood with Trump on stage and heaped praise on him. Jackson has vowed to be “Trump’s favorite governor” and “Trump with a Southern tone.”

It's no surprise that Trump is telling Georgians how Rick can't wait to get on the phone with him. Afterall, Rick said he would govern “just like Trump,” and has pledged his loyalty to Donald Trump over and over and over again.

“The first thing Keisha Lance Bottoms will do as governor is take action to expand Medicaid. The first thing Rick Jackson will do is call his boss, Donald Trump,” said TaNisha Cameron, Keisha for Governor spokesperson. “As hundreds of thousands of Georgians lose health coverage and families struggle with rising costs, Rick Jackson is busy proving his loyalty to Trump while Keisha is talking about her plans to protect Georgia's hospitals and bring down costs. This rally made it clear that Rick Jackson will work for Donald Trump, while Keisha Lance Bottoms will work for the people of Georgia.”
