Bottoms Statement on Officer Shot in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Following reports of an Atlanta Police Department officer being shot while responding to a call today in Atlanta, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms released the following statement.

“I am praying for the full and speedy recovery of the Atlanta Police officer who was shot while responding to a call in Oakland City. This incident is a painful reminder of how important it is for people experiencing a mental health crisis to have access to the care and support they need, when they need it most.”
