Bottoms: ‘What We Heard from Trump was More Division and Distraction — and Nothing About How He’s Going to Fix His Disastrous Policies that are Driving Up Costs’

ATLANTA — Democratic candidate for Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms released the following statement in response to Donald Trump's remarks during his State of the Union address.

“Last night, Georgians heard Donald Trump brag about ‘winning too much’ — but that couldn't be more out of touch with the Georgians I have talked with across the state who are paying too much for their bills, their health care and their groceries thanks to Trump’s policies. What we heard from Trump was more division and distraction — and nothing about how he’s going to fix his disastrous policies that are driving up costs. 

“In the year since Trump took office, Georgia’s businesses and economy have already been harmed from his chaos. President Trump showed that he isn’t going to change a thing. Meanwhile, Republicans running for governor continue to cheer on his agenda that is making the lives of Georgians harder. As governor, I will always stand up for Georgia's working families when Donald Trump harms our state.”
