In New TV Ad, Keisha Takes on Trump, Highlights Her Plans to Lower Housing Costs, Expand Medicaid and Guarantee Pre-K for All Georgians

ATLANTA — Keisha Lance Bottoms released the first TV ad in her campaign for governor, taking on the policies of Donald Trump and highlighting her plans to lower health care costs, expand Medicaid and guarantee pre-K for all Georgia families who want it.
The new ad begins as early voting is underway ahead of the May 19th primary.
Bottoms recently released her plans to lower health care costs, guarantee pre-K to every 4-year old, and make kindergarten the start for Georgia’s schools rather than first grade.

Keisha Lance Bottoms: Our history. Our neighborhoods. Our elections.
The problem’s not that Donald Trump doesn’t like me, it’s that he doesn’t care about you.
He’s rigging the system, trying to erase us and thinks we won’t fight back.
I’m running for governor for Georgians priced out of their homes, and who can’t afford health care. For kids ready to learn but with nowhere to go.
I’m Keisha Lance Bottoms. We’re still here, and it’s time they heard.
Background
Keisha Lance Bottoms has announced plans to lower health care costs and invest in Georgians’ education. Earlier this month, she announced her CARE Plan for a Healthier Georgia which will expand Medicaid, protect rural hospitals, and prevent Georgians who rely on the ACA from losing health care coverage by pursuing targeted premium support.
Bottoms also recently announced her plan to guarantee pre-K access to every 4-year old in Georgia and require full-day kindergarten for Georgia students.
She previously served as the 60th mayor of Atlanta from 2018 to 2022 where she made major investments in affordable housing, delivered historic pay raises for police officers and firefighters, supported small businesses, and brought in billions in capital investment.
Bottoms is at least a fifth generation Georgian and has served as a judge and city councilwoman. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, Derek, and their four children.
