NEXT WEEK: Keisha Lance Bottoms to Kick Off ‘Our Rights, Our Future’ Tour In Lead Up to Primary Election
ATLANTA — Next week, Democratic candidate for governor, Keisha Lance Bottoms will be setting out on the “Our Rights, Our Future” Get Out the Vote Tour. Bottoms will make stops across Georgia to talk with Georgians about the stakes of the 2026 governor’s race as Georgians’ voting rights are under attack.
The tour will kick off on May 12 in Columbus as Georgians cast their ballots during the final week of early voting. The tour will continue through primary Election Day on May 19.
During the tour, Bottoms will highlight her plans to stand up for voting rights as they are under attack from Republican leaders at the state and federal level. Bottoms will also discuss her plans to expand affordable health care access and invest in education.
“Georgians need a leader who will stand up to the chaos coming out of Washington and fight for our rights and a better future for our children. I have been traveling across Georgia to talk with people about the challenges they're facing — from hospitals closing across our state to health care premiums that have skyrocketed,” said Bottoms.
“‘The Our Rights, Our Future’ Tour is about standing up for Georgians in this difficult time to lower costs, protect our rights, and build a better future. Now through November, I’m going to continue sharing my vision for our state — one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

Background
Since launching her campaign, Keisha Lance Bottoms has focused on lowering costs for Georgians, expanding affordable health care, and investing in education.
In April, she announced her CARE Plan for a Healthier Georgia which will expand Medicaid, protect rural hospitals, and prevent Georgians who rely on the ACA from losing health care coverage by pursuing targeted premium support.
Bottoms also recently announced her plan to guarantee pre-K access to every 4-year old in Georgia and require full-day kindergarten for Georgia students.
She previously served as the 60th mayor of Atlanta from 2018 to 2022 where she made major investments in affordable housing, delivered historic pay raises for police officers and firefighters, supported small businesses, and brought in billions in capital investment.
Bottoms released the first TV ad in her campaign for governor last week where she takes on Trump and highlights her plans as governor.
Bottoms is at least a fifth generation Georgian and has served as a judge and city councilwoman. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, Derek, and their four children.
