Keisha Lance Bottoms to Participate in the Two Televised Statewide Primary Debates

ATLANTA — Today, Democratic candidate for governor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that she will participate in the two televised, statewide debates ahead of the May 19 primary. The televised debates come in addition to the dozen candidate forums and debates

Bottoms has participated in from Dahlonega to Savannah since November.

Bottoms will participate in the following televised debates:

  • 2026 Georgia Democratic Governor Debate hosted by Nexstar and TEGNA on Wednesday, April 15.

  • Loudermilk-Young Debate hosted by The Atlanta Press Club on Monday, April 27.

“Keisha is excited to take her message directly to voters and share both her successful record of standing up to Donald Trump’s disastrous policies and her vision for Georgia’s future,” said Rashad Taylor, campaign manager for Keisha for Governor. “Across the state, Georgians are ready for leadership that will lower healthcare costs for everyone by expanding Medicaid, making housing more affordable, and investing in schools, job training, and small businesses. Keisha will use these debates to make clear that she is ready to fight for every community and is the best-positioned candidate to win in November and make history as the first Democrat elected as governor of Georgia in the 21st century.”
