Keisha Lance Bottoms for Georgia Governor

PRESS RELEASE

Keisha Lance Bottoms And Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock Highlight The Clear Contrast in This Race

Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock: ‘[Keisha] Is Georgia Through And Through…His Money Will Not Outdo Her Message’

ATLANTA — Today, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms joined U.S. Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock on the first day of early in-person voting to highlight the clear choice facing Georgians: a leader who will fight for them or Rick Jackson, someone who wants to be Trump’s “favorite governor.”

Keisha and Sen. Warnock highlighted the importance of early voting and the stakes of this year’s election. Sen. Warnock also stressed the clear choice in this race: “Rick Jackson is Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is Rick Jackson.”

Keisha also focused on her plans to lower Georgians' costs on groceries, gas, and housing costs, expand Medicaid, invest in Georgians’ education and stand up to Trump.

Read Key Excerpts from Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock and Keisha on the Importance of Voting Below:

Keisha Lance Bottoms: “We have to show up like our lives depend on. John Lewis reminded us that the right to vote is almost sacred. If we don't use it, we will lose it. So the energy that we are seeing this morning…across the state who've shown up early to make sure that their votes are being counted, we need this every single day of early voting…We have to treat every day of early voting as if it is an election day. Rick Jackson has said that the National Guard will be called in. Donald Trump has threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act. People are intent on disrupting our democracy, but they have gone too far.”

Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock: “I feel very fortunate that I got a chance to cast my ballot for my great friend Keisha Lance Bottoms and the next governor of the great state of Georgia. I cannot stress too much how important it is for everybody to show up and vote early. There is so much at stake in this election…He's [Rick Jackson] trying to buy this election. He spent $200 million on this election, and yet the race is neck and neck. And that's because, at the end of the day, his money will not outdo her message. So I encourage everybody to turn out to vote, and let's elect Keisha Lance Bottoms to the governor's mansion…In a real sense, you're not just voting for her; you're voting for your families.”
