Slick Rick Jackson Caught Again: The Ultimate Insider Is Paying People for Their Endorsements

The AJC reports that Jackson paid a consultant over $10K “shortly before his endorsement was announced”

ATLANTA — Following a week of scandals, insider Slick Rick Jackson is now enmeshed in yet another controversy as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution  revealed Friday that Jackson paid a consultant over ten thousand dollars “shortly before his endorsement was announced.”

In just the latest display of how much of an insider Rick Jackson truly is, Jackson personally paid off Billy Linville – a paid political consultant – with $10,645.16 on July 31. Linville then announced his endorsement for Jackson around two weeks later, underscoring Jackson’s long history of using his vast fortune and insider connections to further rig the system in his favor. 

“Slick Rick Jackson got caught yet again playing another one of his insider games — this time he's been caught paying for endorsements." said TaNisha Cameron, Campaign Spokesperson. “It’s no wonder Georgians don’t trust Slick Rick Jackson: Just this week, he got caught paying off insiders for endorsements, paying a $3 million settlement after allegations of human trafficking, and getting paid in a secret contract from the state despite his promise to stop. It’s all a rigged insider game for Rick Jackson, while Georgians pay the price.”

This latest revelation follows a week of scandals for Rick Jackson. On Tuesday, 11Alive revealed that Jackson extended a state contract into 2027 despite promising Georgians he’d wind down these agreements if he’s elected governor – then, on Thursday, CNN shockingly revealed that Jackson's healthcare company faced a class action suit over allegations it trafficked and mistreated nurses working for the company. Jackson was also caught on camera earlier in the week dismissing Georgia’s healthcare crisis, admitting to a reporter that he didn’t think Georgia’s failure to expand Medicaid was “as bad as anybody else thinks.”
