Bottoms on 11Alive: ‘He Looked In The Faces Of Taxpayers And Said He Would Not Continue His Business With The State’

ATLANTA — Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms called out Slick Rick Jackson for breaking his promise to Georgians to“unwind” his business with the state and stop competing for state contracts. In an interview yesterday on 11Alive, Bottoms responded to the news this week that Jackson had secretly extended a taxpayer-funded contract that would make him millions during a potential gubernatorial term.

“He said he wants to be ‘Trump with a Southern tone.’ Well, he's setting the tone” Keisha said during the interview. “He has now extended that contract, after he looked in the faces of taxpayers and said that he would not continue his business with the state. And he's done it in the middle of an election.”

Yesterday, Keisha demanded that Slick Rick Jackson disclose the details of every contract he currently has and has had with the state.
