BREAKING: New Poll Shows Bottoms Continued Momentum Ahead of Primary Election

ATLANTA — Just days ahead of the Democratic gubernatorial primary this month, a new poll from Insider Advantage released today shows growing momentum for Keisha Lance Bottoms as she continues to lead the Democratic primary field by double digits.

The poll shows Bottoms leading her nearest competitor by 36 points and leading all the other Democratic candidates combined by 18 points. Fourteen percent of voters remain undecided.

The Insider Advantage poll comes as Georgia Democrats are setting records with early votes. Previously, Emerson College and Nexstar Media released a poll showing Bottoms leading the field with a 22-point margin.

“Across Georgia, Democrats are excited to vote for Keisha Lance Bottoms to be our nominee for governor,” said Rashad Taylor, campaign manager for Keisha for Governor. “Our campaign is building momentum at the right time, as voters know that Keisha is the strongest candidate to defeat whatever Trump Republican emerges from the GOP primary and win the governorship for Democrats this November. But we’re not going to rest. We’re continuing to engage directly with voters across the state and share Keisha’s vision to lower costs, expand access to affordable health care, and invest in Georgians’ education.”

Background

During her campaign, Bottoms has focused on the issues that matter most to Georgians. Last month, she announced her CARE Plan for a Healthier Georgia which will lower health care costs, expand Medicaid, and protect rural hospitals. Bottoms also recently announced her plan to guarantee pre-K access to every 4-year old in Georgia and require full-day kindergarten for Georgia students.

Bottoms released the first TV ad in her campaign for governor this week where she takes on Trump and highlights her plans as governor.
