Bottoms: ‘With a President so Focused on His own Petty Grievances, Georgia Needs a Governor Willing to Stand up to Him’

Atlanta — Democratic candidate for Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms released the following statement in response to reports of the FBI conducting a raid at the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center.

“It’s bad enough that Donald Trump is still using our tax dollars to manufacture election conspiracy theories—and it’s even worse when you consider his administration’s gross abuses of power, rising costs for families across Georgia, and the fact that nearly 700,000 Georgians will lose health care coverage due to his health care cuts.  Today’s actions by the FBI appear to be another disturbing attempt by the Trump Administration to deny the fact that he lost the 2020 presidential election. Georgians deserve a leader who is focused on the issues they face today and not six-year-old false election conspiracies.  I’ll be laser focused on making Georgia more affordable, safeguarding our voting rights, and defending our hard-working poll workers. I will stand up to Donald Trump when he’s harming Georgians.
