Keisha led with transparency and believed the public deserved a government they could actually see and trust. Her record includes real reforms that opened up city spending, strengthened oversight, and raised the bar for accountability in Atlanta government.
• Launched Atlanta’s Open Checkbook, giving the public direct online access to all city spending information for the first time in city history.
• Advanced sweeping transparency reforms, including the creation of the city’s first Chief Transparency Officer to strengthen compliance with open records laws.
• Established stronger accountability measures in city government, including creation of an Inspector General and reforms to restrict and tighten oversight of city-issued credit cards.
• Earned the Georgia First Amendment Foundation’s Charles L. Weltner Freedom of Information Award for leading major transparency reforms and helping restore public trust in city government.
