Keisha led with transparency and believed the public deserved a government they could actually see and trust. Her record includes real reforms that opened up city spending, strengthened oversight, and raised the bar for accountability in Atlanta government.
Launched Atlanta’s Open Checkbook, giving the public direct online access to all city spending information for the first time in city history.
Advanced sweeping transparency reforms, including the creation of the city’s first Chief Transparency Officer to strengthen compliance with open records laws.
Established stronger accountability measures in city government, including creation of an Inspector General and reforms to restrict and tighten oversight of city-issued credit cards.
Earned the Georgia First Amendment Foundation’s Charles L. Weltner Freedom of Information Award for leading major transparency reforms and helping restore public trust in city government.
